At Male Smiles Uganda, we believe that menstruation should never be a barrier to dignity, education, or opportunity. Our #MenstruationWithDignity campaign seeks to transform attitudes towards menstruation, ensuring that all people, regardless of gender, understand the importance of menstrual health. Through education, awareness, and action, we are creating a supportive environment where women and girls can thrive without shame or stigma.
Our Mission:
The #MenstruationWithDignity initiative is dedicated to addressing the social, economic, and cultural barriers that prevent women and girls from managing their periods with dignity. We aim to:
● Provide accessible menstrual hygiene products to girls and women in need
● Educate men and boys about menstruation to foster a supportive and informed community.
● Promote open conversations about menstruation to break the silence and stigma surrounding it
● Advocate for policies that support menstrual equity and accessibility.
Why It Matters:
For many girls and women in Uganda, menstruation comes with shame, stigma, and hardship. Limited access to sanitary products and lack of proper menstrual hygiene management affects education, health, and overall well-being. This not only impacts the dignity of women and girls but also perpetuates gender inequality.
By engaging men and boys, #MenstruationWithDignity seeks to create allies who understand the challenges faced by women and girls, contributing to a more equitable and supportive community.
The Bible teaches us to care for and uplift one another, demonstrating compassion, love, and dignity in all our actions. In the spirit of these teachings, the #MenstruationWithDignity initiative reflects the heart of God’s care for humanity.

Our campaign advocates for the rights and dignity of women and girls, ensuring they have access to the resources and support they need to manage their menstrual health.
Our Approach:
Menstrual Education Workshops: We conduct community-based workshops to educate boys, men, and community leaders on the importance of menstrual health and hygiene. These workshops are designed to dispel myths and misconceptions, creating a safe space for discussion.
Distribution of Menstrual Kits: We provide reusable sanitary pads, menstrual cups, and other essentials to girls and women in rural areas. This ensures they can manage their periods without disruption to their education or daily lives.
Advocacy and Policy Change: Through partnerships with local and national organizations, we are advocating for policies that promote menstrual health as a human right, ensuring that no one is left behind
