At Malezi Smiles Uganda, we believe every mother deserves a safe and dignified childbirth experience. Unfortunately, many expectant mothers in Uganda lack access to basic necessities during labor and delivery. Our project aims to bridge this gap by providing essential items such as labor suits, pampers, and cotton to 100 pregnant mothers in hospitals. Project Objective To enhance the well-being of 100 pregnant mothers by providing essential maternity supplies, ensuring a safe and dignified childbirth experience in Ugandan hospitals. Key Items Provided Labor Suits: To ensure comfort and hygiene during childbirth. Cost: 60,000 UGX each for 100 mothers = 6,000,000 UGX (~$1,622). Pampers: To meet the immediate diaper needs of newborns. Cost: 25,000 UGX each for 100 mothers = 2,500,000 UGX (~$676). Cotton: A necessity for cleanliness and first aid. Cost: 10,000 UGX each for 100 mothers = 1,000,000 UGX (~$270). Total Project Cost: 9,500,000 UGX (~$2,568).
